FuryBSD is a brand new,
open source FreeBSD desktop. FuryBSD pays homage to desktop BSD
projects of the past like PC-BSD and TrueOS with its graphical interface
and adds additional tools like a live, hybrid USB / DVD image. FuryBSD
is completely free to use and distributed under the BSD license.

FuryBSD
is entirely based on the legendary stability of FreeBSD. We add a
graphical desktop experience out of the box, allowing you to get started
more quickly with FreeBSD.
Synchronization
FuryBSD works to
stay in sync with upstream FreeBSD, meaning we use the powerful tools
already present in FreeBSD to manage install and upgrades and avoid
tunables unless absolutely necessary.
Portable
FuryBSD is
compact using a hybrid live DVD / USB image. This lets you use FuryBSD
on-the-fly as a portable OS for sensitive work, a way to test your
hardware, or to perform a hardware install directly from the live image.
